IGP Alkali, others Bag National Award

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, CFR, psc(+), NPM, fdc has received National Award alongside Dr. Solomon Arase (IGP retired), Mohammed Adamu (IGP retired), DIG Sanisu Lemu, DIG Joseph Egbunike (late)  and the presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, among others. The epoch making event took place at the International Conference Centre, Abuja on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

While IGP Alkali, IGP Arase (rtd) and IGP Adamu (rtd) were conferred with the Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR), DIG Sanisu Lemu, DIG Joseph Egbunike (late)   were conferred with Member of the order of the Federal Republic (MFR), and Femi Adesina got the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) recognition, respectively.

IGP Alkali has been described by many as a perfect gentleman and the pillar of community policing who has made sterling contributions to policing affairs and national security in general, both nationally and internationally.

The prestigious national honours were presented by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR. The occasion was equally graced by captains of industries and other very important dignitaries.
