The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc has appointed AIG Hafiz Inuwa as the new Chairman, Force Sports Planning Committee. The IGP has also dissolved all Sports Association Chairmen and further directed that henceforth, Association Chairmen shall not be above the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). However, the following officers have been nominated to oversee the NPF Sports Associations listed against their names pending the reconstitution of Substantive Chairmen, ACP Tony Emefile - Athletics, ACP Shuaibu Bello - Swimming, ACP Evans Shem - Boxing, ACP Oladeinde O. Michael -Wushu-Kungfu, ACP Chioma Ajunwa-Opara - Female Football, ACP, Olalekan Coker - Tennis, ACP Gbenga Adeoye - Gymnastics, ACP Patrick Ejedawe - Shooting, CSP Kalat Shamang - Hockey, CSP Mailafia Yakubu - Squash, CSP Garba Yaro - Football, CSP Abbas Abdulahi - Cycling, CSP Stella Ebikefe - Taekwondo, CSP Abubakar Yakubu - Kick-Boxing, CSP Haruna Shehu - Shagari Polo, CSP Kalu Chijioke - Triathlon, CSP Usman Y. Meanwhile, the police boss has charged the officers to exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship in their areas of responsibility and ensure that sportsmen and women are groomed to represent the Nigeria Police Force at all levels of sporting events both locally and internationally.
