Bandits terrorising Niger state lost seven men in a counter-terror operation carried out by the Niger state Special Task Force on June 24.
Five attackers were said to have died in the encounter while two were arrested.
The seven men had attacked and rustled cattle in Tegina, in Rafi area of Niger state.
A multi-agency task-force countering bandits and other violent crime was set in the state when attacks spiked.
Police spokesman in the state, DSP Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the report from Tegina.
