8 Top Police Officers Honoured with Member of the National Institute

By Odey Lukpata and Sanwo Bamise.

History is made today, December 3, 2022 as eight (8) Senior Police Officers of the Nigeria Police Force are honoured with Member of the National Institute (mni) after undergoing a rigorous one year academic research at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru-Jos, Plateau State.

The amiable officers include; AIG Yahaya Sahabo Abubakar, mni, AIG (Dr) Aishatu Ibrahim, mni, former AIG Force Animal Branch, Force Headquarters Abuja, CP Sadiq Idris Abubakar, mni, former Director of the Department of Peace Keeping, CP Frank Emeka Mba, mni, the immediate past Force Public Relations Officer, CP Udo Arungwa Nwazue, mni, CP Ebong Ebong Eyibo, mni, CP Lawal Badru Banji, mni and CP Yusuf Suleiman, mni.

This tasking journey to envious height began about a year ago when the Inspector-General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc, NEAPS, CFR, graciously nominated the officers as part of his developmental agenda to proceed to NIPSS for further research.

The IGP has congratulated all the officers for flying the Force’s flag high and making the entire NPF family proud as they successfully clinched the prestigious honour of the National Institute (mni). The police boss has also remarked that to whom much is given much is expected and as such the officers must prepare to handle more tasking responsibilities based on their present level of intellectual capacity and experience garnered through studies in NIPPS.

The editorial board of the New Dawn Newspaper also joins in heartily congratulating the senior officers for this milestone achievement, especially its former Coordinator, CP Frank Mba for the great feat attained in NIPSS. CP Mba is not just an orator but an erudite scholar, a legal juggernaut with colossal standing and quintessential character. He is equally a voracious reader who loves studies and gathering new knowledge and ideas. His name rings a bell in the media world within and outside Nigeria due to his status and immense contributions to efficient and effective policing in Nigeria through excellent communication skills.
